收成（1）今年用多了時間在耕種方面，雖然天氣並不是很好但收穫卻不錯，首先是胡蘿蔔，在二月初播種，三月初出苗，七月中開始收成，到目前為止，收了有二十條，大部份都是大條的，而且沒有受胡蘿蔔虫影響，這應該是洋蔥的功勞，因為它們是相間而種的，大概還有十條在田。初時以為大部份的胡蘿蔔都沒了，因為等了差不多兩個多月才見到頗為像樣的幼苗，結論是早期實在未夠暖。下次可在三月中或尾才播種。

mine only tiny because my soil were too hard!
roots veggies are my worst part of veg because the soil too hard,I need to order some top soil for next spring!
when you direct sowed on the ground,you must wait till the soil get a bit warmer,you can sowed them a bit later,they soon catch up when the weather get warm!

Actually, my soil is clay as well.They get very hard. But this year I used a new method: dug a trench about 5/6inches deep, filled with compost. Then sow seeds on top, covered with a layer of compost. And it works. Cost effective!
